In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Community Food Drive
When speaking about the righteous, Allah, (The Glorified and the Exalted) says in the Holy Qur'an,
"And (they) feed with food the needy, the orphan and the captive, for love of Him,
(Saying),"We feed you for the sake of Allah alone: no reward do we desire from you, nor thanks." (76:8-9)
`Abdullah bin `Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: A man asked the Prophet (Muhammad ), "What sort of deeds of Islam are good"?
The Prophet (Muhammad ) replied, "To feed (the poor) and greet those whom you know and those whom you do not know."
(Sahih Al-Bukhari)
Abu Musa al- Ash'ari (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (Muhammad ) said: " Feed the hungry, visit the sick and set free the captives."
(Sahih Al-Bukhari)
